This solo explores a fusion of styles such as jazz swing and Cuban Songo, and incorporates concepts such as rudimentary phrasing, mixed subdivisions and melodic use of toms & bass drum. All of which help me to vary the vocabulary involved and create musical themes & ideas throughout. This is the combination of my exploration of many of the lesson topics covered on the site, try composing/improvising your own open solo and see what you can come up with and develop!
